2) Turkey

One of the easiest ways to travel without a passport is to visit Turkey. The country shares borders with Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Georgia. However, Turkish law requires that citizens enter or exit the country using their national ID card or Turkish passport. Additionally, travelers may need an ID card from the European Union if they are from one of the countries in it. It does not make them Turkish citizens and does not entitle them to rights in Turkey that other EU nationals enjoy (meaning no healthcare for example). So be sure you have the proper paperwork before booking your flight!

In order to visit these 10 places without a passport, you will only need identification such as an original U.S. birth certificate or government-issued photo ID with proof of citizenship.

3) Malaysia

There are ten countries you can visit without a passport. In many cases, you can get on a plane without any documentation other than your ticket. That's right, no passport, driver's license, or ID is needed. Here are the top ten countries where you can travel without those pesky documents: 

Malaysia – Malaysia is located in Southeast Asia and is one of the friendliest places to visit in the world. Don't be fooled by some of the warnings about traveling to this destination with only an airplane ticket though. People from most countries (except the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) do not need an entry visa or any other documentation to enter Malaysia as long as they have a valid ticket that will allow them to depart after 24 hours of arrival.

4) St. Vincent and Grenadines

Many destinations require that you have a passport before you are allowed to visit. Fortunately, there are still some places where passport rules are more lenient. For example, if you want to vacation in St. Vincent and Grenadines all you need is your driver's license or another form of identification to cross the border. This makes it a great place for Americans with an expired passports!

5) Dominica

Dominica is a Caribbean island country that is part of the Leeward Islands. Visitors are not required to have a passport to enter Dominica but will need an onward ticket, confirmed hotel reservation, and evidence of sufficient funds. The evidence can be an onward or return ticket in their own name which they can show at any Dominica Airport, one month of bank statements proving the availability of £1,000 in cash, or if they have an American Express card their name must appear on the account and they must show them the credit card. If arriving by air, visitors should make sure that their passports are stamped for entry as no stamp indicates that they are not legally allowed to stay and is equivalent to entering illegally.

6) Nicaragua

In Nicaragua, travelers can enter the country without any passport or visa. A Tourist Card is required for visitors, which will provide them with access to an unlimited amount of time in the country. Your Tourist Card must be obtained before entering the country, and it should be done in your home country where you are sure not to lose it. The card itself costs $30 USD and can be purchased online.

7) Georgia

In the US, you don't need a passport to visit any of these ten states: 1. Hawaii 2. Oregon 3. Michigan 4. Maine 5. Oklahoma 6. New Hampshire 7. West Virginia 8. Colorado 9. South Dakota 10. The Republic of Paraguay is located in South America and shares borders with Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Uruguay. Paraguay does not issue citizenships or visas for foreigners to enter its country as tourists, but anyone from the region can visit as long as they are accredited through Mercosur. These three countries maintain bilateral agreements that allow their citizens to freely enter the other two nations without restrictions. As an exception to this policy, foreigners with valid passports from any country can transit through any Paraguay airport for up to 72 hours without a visa.

10) Sao Tome & Principe

Sao Tome & Principe is an island nation situated off the coast of West Africa, west of Gabon, and north of Equatorial Guinea. Its 176 square kilometers lie on either side of the equator and are home to just over 200,000 people. There are two main islands - Sao Tome and Principe. Inhabitants mostly speak Portuguese or Creole, but also local dialects such as Ngada.
