After a Flirtatious Red-Carpet Encounter, Nia Long Addresses Rumors That She Is Dating Co-Star Omarion

Nia Long dispelled reports that she is dating her co-star Omarion in the comments section of an Instagram photo on January 20, two days after impressing at the "You People" premiere.

Nia Long, 52, can only be described as single. The You People actress refuted Friday's rumors of a romance with her co-star Omarion, 38, in the comments section of a video posted on The Shade Room's Instagram. The publication captioned the image of Omarion and Nia momentarily holding hands on the red carpet, "#PressPlay: The smile on #Omarion's face tells it all!" Nia swiftly responded in the comments, writing, "Everybody calm down... I'm single AF," with an accompanying kissy face emoji.

Despite Nia's clarify, folks responded to the flirtatious moment in the comments section right away. One follower said, "Damn Nia ready to risk it all she wouldn't let his hand go," and another said, "They would actually look really beautiful together." A third admirer brought up the actress's and the singer's 14-year age difference. "Sure, Nia and Omarion can do it. April [Apryl Jones] (36) and Taye Diggs (52) have a 16-year age difference. Omarion (38) and Nia Long (52) are 14 years apart in age. When we (women) do it, it's not cool—we're reversing it in 2023!—but when they (men) do it, it's cool.

Just two days prior to responding to the relationship allegations, Nia sported a figure-hugging white dress at the You People premiere on January 17. She accessorized the strapless look with droplet earrings and a stylish silver cuff bracelet. The 52-year-old also chose to wear her raven-colored hair in free, graceful waves that cascaded down her body. Some of Nia's other co-stars, including Eddie Murphy, 61, Lauren London, 38, and Yung Miami, were also sighted at the premiere.

The mother of two was then seen dining at the opulent Nobu restaurant in Dubai on January 20 on actor Terrence J's Instagram Story. For the evening outing, Nia wore a long black dress and Christian Louboutin heels. While they went out for a night on the town, Terrence made sure to capture Nia stepping in and out of the pricey purple McLaren automobile.

Along with the current relationship speculations involving Nia and the singer of "Post To Be," she just broke up with her 45-year-old ex-boyfriend Ime Udoka on December 6, 2022. The pair ended their relationship last month, according to a source, after a highly publicized cheating incident. Nia is concentrating on her children and rebuilding her life, despite the sad and painful circumstances, a source told PEOPLE at the time.

Nia and Ime are "no longer together but remain totally committed to co-parenting their kid [Kez]," a representative for Nia also stated to the site. Nia and Ime were together from 2010 till their split in 2022. The actress is a mother to two children: 22-year-old Massai Dorsey II, her son from a previous relationship, and Kez, whom she shares with Ime.
