The "authenticity and legality" of her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley's will is being contested by Priscilla Presley.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Priscilla Presley, the former spouse of Elvis Presley, filed a petition with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday contesting a 2016 amendment to the document that added Riley Keough, Lisa Marie's eldest daughter, and Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie's late son, as cotrustees.

In a contract with her mother, Lisa Marie established a trust in 1993 to assist in the administration of the Presley estate. The trust retained a 15% ownership in Elvis Presley Enterprises, the corporation that is in charge of the singer's intellectual property, after Lisa Marie sold 85% of the business's assets to the entertainment company CKX Inc. in 2004 for almost $100 million.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Priscilla contends in the latest appeal that she was not informed of the 2016 modification to her daughter's will during her lifetime, as required by the rules of the trust. According to the application, "The above manner shall be the single method by which this trust may be revoked or altered, or any amendment canceled," citing a number of instances in which modifications to trusts have previously been determined to be unlawful due to trustees not being properly notified.

Her daughter's signature is allegedly "inconsistent with her usual and customary signature," and she claims that the amendment misspells her name. Additionally, it appears that edition of the will was never witnessed or notarized, and unlike norm, the stipulations are not listed on the signature page.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that while Priscilla states in the petition that she has no intention of stepping down and would remain in her role as cotrustee, Keough will soon replace Siegel as a cotrustee anyway because Siegel "has already or will soon resign." "Petitioner respectfully requests an order from this court determining that the purported 2016 Amendment is invalid," the filing is said to conclude.

Just two days after attending the Golden Globes, Lisa Marie suffered a heart attack at her Calabasas, California, home and passed away earlier this month at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center. She had been born in 1954. Later that day, Priscilla released a statement informing the public of the tragic news, noting, "It is with a heavy heart that I must convey the dreadful news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.

I have never met a lady who was as passionate, strong and loving as she was. We request discretion as we work to process this tragic loss. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. No more commentary will be made at this time.
